YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTCLAIREBRYANTS NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT
Claire had gotten onto the plane, super bummed that she didn't spend a lot of time in that airport because she had to switch planes in a half hour. She walked past the stewardesses and the pilot, who were plastering fake welcoming smiles on their faces as people walked into the cabin of the plane. She sighed and headed to her seat towards the middle of the plane. After putting her bigger carry-on in the stowaway compartment, she scooted into her row and stuffed her other carry-on under the seat in front of her. She glanced around, seeing several teenagers who looked as if they were still in high school and some older people, some her age and some a little bit older than her.
The pilot came over the speakers a few moments later, and she sighed again, sinking back into her seat and holding the armrest with a tight grip. She always hated the takeoff during flight, but once she was in the air, she was golden. About an hour later, when they were soaring somewhere in the sky on their way to the next landing, Claire started to feel some turbulence and took off her headphones, stuffing them back into her bag along with her iPod as the pilot yelled about a crash landing. She clutched her small carry-on to her chest and held onto it, not wanting to let it go.
Suddenly, chaos started to occur inside of the plane, and her chocolate brown eyes darted around her with anxiousness. She grabbed the armrest again, her knuckles whitening. She looked over at the other people on the plane and then she felt the plane falling in the sky. All she could remember in the sky before she experienced the actual impact of the plane into solid ground was screaming of the other passengers and the terrified faces of many students. People flew from the plane as it practically split apart in pieces, and everything rushed by her in a blur. She was such a frickin' idiot for not wearing her safety restraint before! Her head knocked back against her seat, and then she was slammed into the seat in front of her. She screamed once in pain, not in fear since she had no time to be afraid of what was going on. Everything was happening way too fast for her to comprehend any of it.
"Oh, God..."
she whispered as she tried to hold on. She still felt herself being launched from her seat through a new crack in the plane. She landed face first in a soft substance and then her vision darkened as her mind went blank, and she passed out. A few short moments later, as she came back to, all she could hear was screeching, and she moaned as her head felt as though it would split open at any second. 'Migraine...' she thought to herself as she tried picking her head up and opening her eyes. She finally could see what she had landed on, and a huge sigh of relief escaped her lips. "Sand? What the hell?" She was tempted to kiss it, but she had bigger things to worry about at that second. She rolled over and got to her hands and knees, crying out as her shoulder popped. She glanced at it and saw blood running from a wound where she had hit the crack of the metal plane as she was thrown from her seat. She put a hand to her forehead and drew it back, finding more blood and feeling very faint at that second. Claire stood up painfully and slowly, and then she turned to look around her. She saw so much blood staining the sand around her and bodies strewn across the beach, and she gasped in horror, feeling as if she were in a scary movie, trapped in a nightmare she couldn't escape. She started to walk and it turned into a limp, shots of pain like tiny needles rushing through her lower right ankle. She walked over to where she saw her smaller carry-on and picked it up, cradling it to her chest and then moving to the trees nearby, sinking back to her knees and trying to hold back the tears that threatened to fall. Screaming echoed around her from different people, whether they were finding dead bodies or in pain...and all Claire could do was look around for anyone who she could help out that was worse off than she was or someone to just get her away from the noise and turmoil. "Help! Please help me!" she called out to a guy nearby who she saw as she turned her head, wincing as she moved to get up and freezing up as pain racked her every movement suddenly. She needed to at least get someone to help her pop her shoulder back into the socket so she could stop the bleeding. She didn’t know everything about first aid, but she did know a few things after taking a course for school. [/blockquote][/blockquote] WE'RE ALL HERE CAUSE WE LOST CONTROL WE'RE ALL HERE CAUSE WELOSTCONTROL WE'RE ALL HERE CAUSE WE LOST CONTROL WE'RE ALL HERE CAUSE •tags• A dude from the plane, I guess... •status• Done •comments• Creepy and very bad! The Airport was the final step to the beggining of Ryans new life. He had his ipod in listening to the soundtracks of countless musicals he had in it. He had everything that belonged to him in his world with him on the plane. His one checked bag, and his carry-on backpack. He was running to the lights of broadway, and he'd be there by nightfall. Stewardesses were asking him what he wanted, and since he was flying first-class courtesy of the Broadway League, he decided Champagne was in order. With Bubbly in hand, and the plane taking off, he set back and fell to a gentle sleep.
He awoke to a terrifying crash, as he felt his body slowly drifting underwater. The first class and cockpit was a hollow air pocket. He stood up, out of the water, and looked around. He quickly took the pulses of those who were in first class, but they hadn't survived. He grabbed his backpack, which was water proof, because Under Armor made all of them that way. He also grabbed a first aid kit, and a parachute, seeing that they might be useful later. He knew the only way out of the plane was to go back under. He approached the water and took a deep breath. He counted to 3, and dove in.
When he got to the surface, he saw a beautiful sight. An island. He started the long swim to it, after crashing, ones body is somewhat weak, but eventually he made it. After taking a few minutes to catch his breath, he looked around and saw bodies of people, but one caught his eye, and a voice called out to him. He took off at a full run. placing his bags down next to her, and ascertained the situation. She had a dislocated shoulder, and was bleeding profusely from her head, and she was screaming. "It's okay, Shhhh I'm here, calm down, Whats your name?" he asked trying to calm this girl down.

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTCLAIREBRYANTS NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT
Claire tried to block out the horrified screams from all around her, and she closed her eyes tight. Maybe if she closed her eyes and opened them again, everything would just disappear, and it would have been all just a nightmare while she was up in the air. When she reopened her eyes, however, everything was same, and she looked up to see the fiery plane sinking in the water and pieces on the beach. A miracle must have occurred, though. She was immensely relieved to see her a piece of her luggage strewn across the beach. And then a young man around her age was kneeling next to her after hearing her cry. He was trying to calm her down, telling her it was all right and trying to get her talking by asking her name. She grabbed on gently to his lower arm and shook her head profusely, then stopped when dots started to dance in her vision.
"Oh, God...Oh, thank you..."
she managed to say between shaky breaths, her calls for help immediately ceasing as she focused on his face to keep herself from losing it from the pain that racked her body. "Uhm...my name's...Claire. Claire Bryants. Who are you?" she asked him confusedly as she glanced at her shoulder and then into his face. He was concerned and trying to assess the situation, which was what the other survivors should have been doing to the other wounded. "My shoulder...I think...uhm...I don't...I think it hit a piece of the plane when we split...damn, it hurts like hell!" Claire bent down and held the injured shoulder in her hand. When exactly during their flight did this chaos begin, and where were they now? How far off course were they? Wow, she seriously needed to slow herself down. For now, she needed help getting her shoulder back in the socket and then would go about getting all her stuff together from off the sand on the beach and helping other people that were worse off than she was. She might be injured, but at least she was alive and would get better in time. There were others that needed her help more, or others that would never make it out of that water. "Oh, God...Oh, thank you..."
Ryan smiled, but got serious. He saw her wounds, and knew how dangerous this could be. He composed himself, and took a deep breath, saying "Dont worry about it...but right now, you need to drink this". He took out a bottle of water, opened it, and poured some down her lips.
"Uhm...my name's...Claire. Claire Bryants. Who are you?"
He smiled once more, Claire was a beautiful name. Under different circumstances he would like to have talked to her, but these were circumstances that were far from Ideal. He looked into his bag and back out saying "My name Is Ryan Guy" he said taking out a small airline pillow, and placing under her head.
"My shoulder...I think...uhm...I don't...I think it hit a piece of the plane when we split...damn, it hurts like hell!"
He could tell it was dislocated, and he could pop it back into place. He opened the first aid kit, and pulled out some cooling gel, and a wrap. He showed her the wrap and said, "Put this in your mouth, and bite. I'm gonna have to pop it back into place, and it's gonna hurt." he opened the gel, and rubbed it onto her shoulder which would help ease the pain. "Are you ready?" he asked

Claire saw him smile and attempted a smile herself, but then it turned to a look of relief when he took out a bottle of water and poured some into her mouth. She swallowed it down and nodded a thanks at him while he tucked the pillow behind her head to keep her elevated and comfortable. But he kept rummaging through his bag, and she watched him carefully. How did he know all this stuff?
"A-are you a doctor? How do you know-"
Claire began to ask him, but she stopped talking as he looked at her and told her his name. Ryan...well, at least she knew a name to put to the face of the guy that was helping her out. And that was definitely a good thing, for if they get rescued soon, then she'd know whose name to say to the press for who saved her...shoulder? And probably her life... "Uhm...yeah. Ready as I can be for this kind of thing, I guess..." Claire told him quietly as she took the wrap and stuck it in between her teeth, biting down and preparing herself for a hell a lot of pain. She knew someone who had to get their shoulder popped back in, and it was a guy who said it hurt like five kinds of hell. Oh, great...what an amazing thing to happen to her after everything she had already been through lately. The cooling gel soothed a bit of the burning pain, though, so that was good...OW! He braced himself, placing one hand above and the other below the shoulder. He got a firm grip and pushed hard. He knew that the shoulder would still be swollen for a couple of hours, but atleast it would be in place. Her doing anything for a couple of hours was completely out of the question.
"A-are you a doctor? How do you know-"
Her talking reminded him of his mother, and how without her training him, he would never have been able to do this. His mother had taught him many things, this being one of them. "No, Im not a doctor, far from it" he said as he smiled down to her. She was pretty gorgeous, and she was a damsel in distress, his favorite kind of damsel.
"Uhm...yeah. Ready as I can be for this kind of thing, I guess..."
"See that wasn't so bad was it" he asked, once again placing the water bottle close to her lips. He took out a pill and handed it to her, it was a vicodin. "Here, take this, it'll help ease the pain".

Claire bit down hard on the wrap as he pushed her shoulder back into place, and she screamed through the wrap. Damn, that hurt! He smiled and told her he was far from being a doctor, which shocked her. She took out the wrap and winced as she glanced at her shoulder. Okay, so if he wasn't a doctor, then how the hell can he...ooooh...
"Is a family member in the medical business?"
she assumed, figuring that was how he had known what to do. She let him hand her the vicodin and popped it in her mouth with the water to drown it down her throat. Once she had swallowed, she glanced back up at him and decided it was time to get working. She smiled slightly and sat up slowly, moving to crawl towards her stuff laying around on the beach. She needed to pick it all up and keep it with her so no one would steal it. Some of it was memories of her parents. It was all she had left of them since they were murdered a while back. Even thinking about it brought a tear to her eye, and she hurriedly blinked it away, picking up one of her tshirts from off of the sand. "Speak for yourself...hurt like hell!" The brunette told him with a raised eyebrow as she moved a bit to pick up a pair of her shorts from the sand and hold it in her uninjured arm with her shirt. She heaved a sigh as she saw just how much of her stuff had came out of her orange suitcase that was laying in the sand about a yard away. Well, if she didn't start somewhere, she'd never get all of her stuff from the sand and cleaned so it could go back in her bag. Oh...my...God...my toiletry bag! she thought with a squeal as she grabbed it up, dropping her shorts and shirt on the ground and hugging it tight to her chest with a smile back at Ryan. "Is a family member in the medical business?"
His mom was a nurse, who had the good sense of teaching ryan alot. Between long rehearsals and classes, he didn't have very much time to spend with her, but when he did, she had taught him many things. "Yeah, my mom is a nurse. She told me some stuff, didn't know I could use it to meet girls though." he said, beaming.
"Speak for yourself...hurt like hell!"
Hey gave a small laugh, but looked around and said, "Okay, so here's the situation, we're crashed somewhere in the middle of the ocean. We need to start making camp, because it's gonna get dark soon, so after we collect your thing. Im gonna start making a shelter, and once I finish that, your gonna need to get some rest," he said with a serious look on his face. He looked back to the wreckage of the plane, but then to her. Right now, she was his priority.

Claire smiled back at him, relaxing somewhat as he told her his mother was a nurse, and that when he learned medicine, he didn't think it could help him meet girls. She laughed at that comment and shook her head. Well, he did have a point there. She was seriously grateful for his help and owed him big for that vicodin, which gladly was working. The pain was slightly dulling, enough that she could gather up her things and bring up so the ocean water couldn't drag them back out to be lost with everything else out there at the moment. Her eyes scanned the beach for the other people and shuddered as she watched a woman crying over a bloody man, which she presumed was her husband or boyfriend...was being the key word there.
"I can help...there are other people that really need our help right now...there are eople worse off than we are!"
she argued gently, although she knew he was right. She could hurt herself even more if she moved around and exerted herself too much. He had to get her to rest for at least a little while so her shoulder could heal. She walked over and grabbed her suitcase, cringing but still pulling it towards a tree at the back of the beach, loading what she had picked up so far into it and then turning back to grab more of her things. Claire started brushing the powdery sand off of them as she tried to tune out the consistent screams of terror, pain, loss...those same sounds she made a few years ago when she lost her family. Her head hung as she bent to pick up her adorable little black dress, and she smiled at it longingly, wondering when she'd have a chance to wear it now. God being stuck on an island sucks!! And she just got there. Her hands folded it neatly as she placed it into her orange bag and then she looked over at Ryan and brushed her hands on her jeans to clean them. "So...can I help with anything while you build a shelter-ish type thing for the night?" she offered with a curious expression, looking around for maybe a source of clean water or food so the survivors wouldn't go hungry. She did a quick survey of the area around them with her eyes and bit her lip nervously. What if they didn't get rescued? Would they all seriously have to live here together? "I can help...there are other people that really need our help right now...there are eople worse off than we are!"
He looked around. There were about a hundred or so people around here, and most were far worse then she and he was. He couldn't help but look at them, bodies strewn across the beach. He couldn't stand it. "This beach isn't a good place for a camp, we need to go a little further up the beach. I think I see an inlet where we could make shelter." he murmured to her, looking down to the inlet in question.
"So...can I help with anything while you build a shelter-ish type thing for the night?"
He smiled at her effort to be helpful, but he was the man here, and he was gonna let her know it. He picked up his bags, and said "Now, what kinda Knight in shining armor would I be if I just let the princess do all the work. No, you need to rest, let's head down and I'll start with the shelter, and we'll go over some stuff there."

Claire heard him say that they needed to move more inland, and she couldn't agree more. She didn't want to see all this when she woke up, if she could even sleep here. She figured it would be very hard for her to go to sleep right now with all the chaotic insanity that was going on. Maybe if they moved inland it would be quieter and a lot less grisly. Perhaps they could also find food and clean water that wasn't salty or unsanitary to drink. The young woman had a feeling she'd get sick of water and fruits and fish real fast...maybe not now, but after eating just that for a few weeks, it'll wear on you.
"Yeah, let's try to find a place further in. It might be our best option for food and...less death to look at,"
Claire finally answered him after a long moment of silence as she glanced over all the faces that would never see home or their families again. It was too much right now, and she was scared she might end up like that if she stayed here on the beach...at least for that night. They could worry about everything else tomorrow when they woke up and try to help everyone that needed them then...if they were all still alive down by the plane. "Rest does sound pretty tempting, Ryan the Knight. What are you planning on making the shelter out of anyways?" she wanted to know, a smirk on her face as she finished getting all of her stuff from the sand and stuffed it all into her suitcase, watching him pick up his bags. She nodded and waited to follow him to wherever he wanted to move them to. She hoped wherever he chose wasn't infested with bugs, carnivorous animals, or dead people. She had seen enough dead people to last her a lifetime...which was more than she could say for anyone else she'd ever known. Shelter...oh, thank God...but made from what was what she was wondering... "Yeah, let's try to find a place further in. It might be our best option for food and...less death to look at"
This girl was understanding, and hot. He smirked and said, "Yep, I can see a good place to make camp. Lets head up that way". The sun was starting to set, and he knew he was gonna be pressed for time. He led the way to the inlet, with a quick walk, routinely looking back to her, to make sure she was okay. The walk was over in a couple of minutes, and he found a place for her to sit. Under two trees, he gently sat her down.
"Rest does sound pretty tempting, Ryan the Knight. What are you planning on making the shelter out of anyways?"
He gleamed at his new nickname, but he thought about her question for a while, but a bolt of lightning struck his brain. He pulled out the parachute and looked at her. "I'm gonna make this into a shelter, It'll keep us dry from the rain" he mumbled, his mind filled with ideas. The sun was almost at it cycles' end, and he was gonna make this shelter, because he could see the rain clouds on the horizon.
The campsite he had chosen was perfect, a long tree was lying parallel to the ground, about a foot above his head if he stood straight up, and he put the parachute over it, creating a kind of tent, and tied it down with some vines. He picked some thick leaves and laid them down inside the shelter. He picked her up and placed her in there, the thick leaves making a bed. After making sure she was okay, he said "Okay, Im gonna swim out to the plane, theres a pack in there that could be very helpful, and would have some great things we're gonna need. Do you think your gonna be okay?"

The brunette girl looked at him as he told her he saw a place that looked promising. She tried not to let the hope on her face show so openly, and so she bit her lip thoughtfully while she stood up with her two bags. She slung one over her shoulder and dragged the orange, larger suitcase behind her. Her eyes wandered around her and then back forward to watch Ryan ahead of her, who was leading the way to where he said they would make camp for the night. Occasionally he was glancing back at her, and she always shot him a smile of reassurance so he'd know she was all right.
"Thanks,"
said Claire gratefully as he took her arm and helped her sit down under two tall trees. Once she was seated, her eyes glanced up at him where he was standing surveying the area. A parachute?! Well...I'll be a monkey's...aunt... Claire thought to herself as she gave a small laugh of incredulity. He set it up as if he had done this thing a million times, and she just watched him in intent silence. She had to give it to him. He was pretty damn good at this survival thing...it made her wonder what he did back home in his spare time. Did he go camping, hunting, was he just a natural at knowing how to not die? He picked her up, and she settled in once he set her back down again. "I'll be fine...there's no monsters out there trying to eat me," Claire made an attempt to joke as she put her back against the tree and sighed, opening her bag to sort out her things. She was showing him she could keep herself preoccupied til his return, and she smiled up at him. "Be careful, Robinson Crusoe," Claire warned him with a slightly serious face, her hands frozen in her bag as she watched him leaving. And then her eyes resumed their spot on her items from her suitcase, rummaging through all her necessary items to sort what was fun and what was business. Ryan smiled at her every time their eyes met. He took off his shirt, just to let it dry revealing his toned physique. He brused some sand away from his six-pack, and set off. He gleamed at his new nickname. He said "Well, mi'lady, i'll be back", as he walked toward the water. His feet were cold against the blue liquid, but he pressed on, because this was going to help him....help them survive.
He waded out to the wreck, and took a deep breath. He kicked hard, and dove down. The water was getting dark, he could barely see, but he made it inside the plane. Inside was a nightmare, bodies floating for an eternity. He quickly swam past them, and found what he was looking for...a survival pack.
He took it, pulling it from the elastic straps that held in place, which took some effort. After grabbing it firmly, he kicked hard for the surface. With the sunlight basking his face, he swam back to the beach. This process had taken him just over twenty minutes to retrieve the case, and when he reached the sand his first instinct was to see if his princess was still there. "My beautiful damsel?" he asked with a questioning expression. He held up the case, which was about five and a half feet long. He held it up and gave it a little shake saying, "I got it" as he placed it next to the tent.

Leaf stood on the beach, and closed his eyes. The warm tropical sun shone bright overhead. He opened his eyes and smiled, eyes joyous in the midst of what plane wreckage sat on the shore. Is it wrong to smile before so many bodies? Is it wrong to be glad for myself, but not for them? he thought. No.
Leaf wasn't hurt, save for a cut over his right eye, but personally he thinks it looks rather cool, since it isn't at all serious. His back had two short slashes like from the claws of some monster that had swiped him. His jeans and shirt looked like he'd been attacked by a velocirapter, and he lost his shoes and socks, not that he minded much. His nose had also been bleeding, but has since stopped.
Leaf walked nonchalantly toward the man and woman. His feet felt the warm, white sands of the beach, with an occasional piece of glass, but his feet were used to walking on rough terrain barefoot, so weren't cut much and didn't hurt at all.
"Hey." he said simply. He felt uncomfortable, like he'd just interrupted something. The guy was holding an emergency pack and the girl seemed to be recovering from the crash. "Uh.... I don't really know what I should be doing." he smirked at them and shrugged. "I'm Leaf. Yes, thats my name." he smiled fully now and gave a little wave even though a handshake would have been more appropriate. He really didn't like or fully understand handshaking.
