Evelyn needed a few supplies, some of them were lost at sea. She didn't expect to see them again. It was time to find some substitutes. Most of her bandages were floating miles away by now. Kicking a rock, Evelyn let out a huge sigh of fustraition.
She needed to find some leaves that were big enough that she could sterilize and use. After all she was a Dotor and healing the already wounded fron the crash was her first and most important priotity. Out of her supplies most of it survived, and she was thankful for it. Her eyes scanned the unfamiliar forest. She found a tree, an actual tree that didn't look like it had some horribly diseas on it. Evelyn always trusted her insticts when it came to...well everything.
Not really looking where she was runing she got to the tree and started to gently peel the large leaves from its branches.

Jerry was out for his morning walk, yes it was a jungle but no there weren't any animals that could hurt him. There were no animals what so ever on this island, none that Jerry knew of. Walking he was careful where to step, walking over logs, and large roots that were sticking up threatening to trip a passer by. His bright blue eyes spotted a person, his ears picking up a ripping sound, was it the monster?. Interested Jerry walked closer "ya know you can't eat those" he said in his low slow voice, calm yet slightly odd sounding. His eyes flickered from the leaves the woman was taking to her, she was pretty no doubt but she wasn't from here. She wasn't an old survivor that was for sure.
Jerry took a few more steps closer his yes squinting in thought as he studied her face "your one of the new ones we watched your plane come down, the cockpit took out some of our tents, klled a guy" he stated as he placed a hand on the tree before looking up i's trunk. Jerry had never realized the trees in this jungle were so, tall.

Evelyn heard a twig snap behind her and a cool voice that made her jump. Evelyn has seen things in her line of work so she was never really jummp. You can't be when you do the things she does. Staying her ground she slowly turned her head her long brown hair was messy and needed to be tied up.
"I don't want to eat them." she stated flatly. this guy looked like he has been here for a good long while. Evelyns medical mind kicked in and noted he probably had some form of mental disorder. You can never really tell with people who have Mental disorders, they look normal, then BAM you're kidney is missing.
Evelyn needed to be careful with people like him. "I am a Doctor, these are for bandages, most of mine are floating somewhere far away by now" she spoke slowly, not sure how to react or respond in situations like these. Slowly Evelyn rolled up the leaves she had gathered and turned her body towards him, just incase he tried anything while her back as turned.
She wanted all of her things intact. she still had more leaves to collect. Evelyn likes to be prepared.

Jerry's bright blue eyes remained squinting as he tried his best to make sense of what this woman was saying, leaves as bandages, well he had never heard that before. He moved his lips to speak but decided against it. Instead he watched her gather leaves he shifted slightly, his fingers fiddling with a thread from off his pants. Jerry hesitated before speaking again, a hand remaining on the trunk of the tall tree.
"how many of there are you, not many I suppose, like us when we started out, we were many then some of us just died, ya know" he finished aiming the last part at no one in particular. His eyes remained on the darked haired woman. "Do you think you'll die here?" it was an odd but realistic question that someone like Jerry would ask.

"Death..."Evelyn began. she stopped sighed and looked back up to the man who was talking to her. "out here, its a very real possibility" she stated. the more she talked to him the more she slightly understood. He wasn't a mental patient...well, he might be just a little but nothing to be too concerned about. He was just to far long removed from Civilization.
Evelyn smiled slightly. Holding out her hand she introduced her self "I'm Dr. Evelyn Winters" she said Evelyn wondered if he even remembered the initial greeting. As far as her mind was concerned they needed to make their own civilization, they needed to survive. While death was a possibility, it wasn't an option.
"So What brings you all the way out here?" she asked the island may appear small but it was rather large. Evelyn's base camp was on the south beach. It made her begin to wonder if he was here, then...there are more people stranded on this island??

Jerry listened to her speak, so she was a doctor. When she stuck out her hand Jerry took it in his "I'm Jerry" he stated in his calm placid voice, not showing a hint of another emotion. He let his hand slip from hers quickly his blue eyes looking back to the tree as he spoke. "I take walks" he said plainly. Not bothering to look back to the doctor "it helps keep me remembering I'm on an island" he said a small smirk came to his lips.
Jerry then took a few steps around the tree, ignoring the fact that there was someone else with him. He picked one of the large leaves that she was collecting from the ground. Playing with it in his hands he walked back around to her. "There is quite a few of us if your wondering.... not that many but.... enough" he finished his eyes directing from the tree's trunk to her.

As he talked Evelyn followed him with her eyes. she wasn't letting his run from her. Nor was she going to divulge how many of there new survivors were left after That crash, so they would come and raid us. Like hell that was going to happen. Fucking Mange.
Evelyn's medical mind stated that she might be able to cure that. Following his eyes Evelyn glanced over at the tree. she wondered what he saw when he looked at that same tree. When she felt his eyes on her she pulled back her glance from the tree and looked back at him.
She noticed that he had one of the leaves that she was collecting. Maybe he decided to help? Evelyn doubted it, she had a feeling that she wasn't going to see the end of this guy. "There are a many of us, which is good for our plan, since we figure we will be he for a good long while" she stated, not giving him an actual number but just let him think as to how many are actually on the South Beach.

Jerry smirked for the first time since talking to this doctor. She was smart, but was she intelligent?. Jerry watched her with unmoving solid blue eyes, like glass. He enjoyed watching others, even if they were staring at him. He hesitated his mouth moving but no words coming out. Then he spoke "we will all be here for awhile, were all stranded, no one is coming... they wanted us all dead, gone like ash" was he making sense, Jerry hoped so.
He let leaf fall from his fingers and leaned against the tree folding his arms across his chest. He was a small man, the doctor almost just slightly over his height as he studied their height difference. He paused before talking once again "your almost taller then me you know that?" he said, the question to no one in paticular.

As Jerry spoke Evelyn had flashbacks. She was a strong doctor at the General hospital where she worked. One night, she was kidnapped my the most famous mob in town. She was tol dif she wanted to stay alive she would have to become their doctor.
So for years Evelyn, was a mob doctor, through the yeaers she found out information that could incriminate all of them. the mob, through an unknown source, ratted her out. Evelyn's time, had run out.
Shakingher head it brought her back to the most important time, the present. "Yes I agree, Jerry" she said his name for the first time, it wasn't as weird as she was expecting it to be. Raising an eyebrow she raised her eyes past his and realized that she was infact taller than him. "It never crossed my mind." Evelyn smiled slightly. She was beginig to find this Jerry enjoyable. somewhat.

Jerry smiled lightly when he heard the doctor agree. She was right she was almost taller then him, but then again Jerry had always been a small man. Pushing off the tree he circled it once more his solid blue eyes studying it once more before he turned to her. "Well I'm on my way" he said brushing past her side stepping large roots and rocks.
Looking over his shoulder Jerry spoke "oh, and you'll be seeing me again doctor" he said his eyes staring into hers he didn't smile or wave. Jerry simply turned and headed back the way he had came, back towards the north beach.
