Hey, so I just had a suggestion for your board (because I run a rpg site too) and perhaps having some more graphics on the board could spice it up a bit and make the layout more interesting? :>
For example, sidebar graphics and mini-forum banners? Because I think those always make sites look neater and more interesting, and as a role-player I always like looking at pretty graphics. :>
I'm no good at making anything fancy and nice (the best I can do is google, google, google, edit a little bit and that's basically it [although, that is basically what I did with my mini-forum banners, and it does the trick]) but I do like helping out by finding neat stuff. :> So if you're up for it and you like the idea I'd be more than glad to help out :>
Because I really like the idea of this RPG and I'd love it if we could get more members to join. So maybe the first step with that, apart from loads and loads of advertising, could help a little. :>

womp womp. I agree with the suggestion because I know when I first visit a site the graphics and the way it looks are usually what make the decision for me (which is horrible as they say don't judge a book by it's cover but I do it) but I wanted to throw a little add in. Maybe if we could get a few more members creating a contest for making the graphics could be a good activity booster/get the creative juices flowing kind of thing. =D

Yep, I am trying to get help for graphics, so i am ahead of this suggestion! But thanks for speaking your minds, I really appreciate hearing the voices of my members! Makes me feel like y'all appreciate what I do and want me to get better, and I thank you for that! *gives cookies* But I STINK at graphics myself...haha! I'd appreciate all the help I can get!

Thank you guys and girls!! Well, I was looking for the sidebar graphics to be different stages of the crash, like the airport, then the plane safe in the air, then the problem in the air, then the crashing down, then the actual crash on the land, and the aftermath and ashes, etc. What do y'all think of that idea??

Haha, thanks xD That's an example of the only thing I can do with graphics - play around the colours, add text, a frame and cropping. xP But yeah, that was one of my favourite episodes/family scenes too, and I figured it just portrayed the family's relationship perfectly. :> Hence I had to pick it as my siggy xD

So, I'm a bit of an over-achiever, and when I get an idea in my head and make it my mission, I can be quite a nuisance. So, if you get annoyed at me, just tell me to stop. xD But, so I looked up some graphics on Caution 2.0 (because I absolutely love that place) and I found some cool looking things:
- Post Buttons - the second and fourth examples are quite nice
- Pips - #s: 4, 4b & 17 are really nice I think. :>
- Forum Markers #1 - I think the bottles would really work with the theme of being stuck on an island and wanting to escape :>
- Forum Markers #2 - and here's another example, but that might look a bit too decorated :>
- Sidebar Graphics #1 - so they're not exactly like how you described, but there's beach and water, and they're quite pretty, so I'm just throwing them out there as a possibility. :>
- Sidebar Graphics #2 - and here's another example, but again I don't think they'd really fit. :> (maybe I should stop putting examples that don't work, but as I said, I'm obsessive and this is fun. xD)
- Sidebar Graphics #3 - another beach like setting. These are actually my favourite from the ones I've showed. They're more... classy and simple I think. Less flashy and more elegant. :>
And then I browsed some deviantart and google and here are some graphics I found that I liked:
- (Welcome) Airport: one, two, three, four
- (Setting) Flying: one, two, three [google], four [google]
- (Quick Links) Plane malfunction: one [google] but the quality's not too good,
- (Staff) Crashing down: one, two [google], three [google]
- (Chatbox) Crash: I haven't found any cool ones yet :>
- (Credits) Chaos on land: one
Anyways, I'm currently too tired to do more google search so I'll leave it at this for now. :> If you like/love/hate something from this you can tell me so I can straight away remove it from the list or something. ^^ But yeah. Sorry if I went too overboard with my obsession. xD
