Cas slowly walked down the beach looking for a nice place to sit. Cas was still very confused she really still had no clue what was going on. During the crash Cas had blacked out. She somehow she had ended up laying on the beach. Around her there was complete chaos. People were laying on the beach, running around and screaming for people or anything. Cas sat down under a tree on the edge of the beach trying to clear her mind. The cop side of her kept her from panicking but clearing her mind was hard to do. There were so many people around her in pain Cas hated it. One of the reasons she had become a cop was so she could prevent people being in pain. Cas closed her eyes leaning back. She had been going on a vacation for some time away and time for herself. This was definitely not what she had been thinking when she thought about getting away from all her stress. Cas opened her eyes looking out over the ocean. If she had not just been in a crash she would have thought of this as a beautiful island. But after all that had happened Cas did not think this island could ever be beautiful in her eyes

Momentsbefore the crash played through her mind. Bits and pieces weaved their way through as Ava stumbled away from the horrific sight of blood and mess. Usually she could deal with blood. In her days at the group home conditions were okay at best. Sickness weaved their ways in and out of the people and to see blood was no uncommon issue.
Suddenly an overwhelming urge came over her to barf and rather than hold it down, Ava sprinted towards the edge of the beach craving the leafy forest to mask her from common eyes. It took her several moments before all of the contents of her stomach were emptied and only then did Ava stand up, spiting out the last bit to leave her mouth parched and her body worn. Resting her hand onto her stomach she stood up straight and patted her belly.
“It’s okay,” she whispered more out of habit than to comfort the being growing inside her. Ava knew better from her years of experience and books that the nearly eight week along child would hear her, though it was the thought that counted.
Looking at the area around her Ava’s eyes caught onto a fellow passenger. A smile came across her face at the sight and she raised her hand in a hello, the other still protectively covering her stomach.

Shellshocked. Speechless. Two words with starkly differing connotations. Today Leaf felt them as one and the same. The crash was.... hazy. The first several minutes on the island.... lost like a dream he isn't sure he had.
Leaf felt like he'd just run nine miles and then shoveled the long jump pit for six hours. The fresh cut across his right eyesocket was greeted by a cool tropical breeze. Adrenaline seems to have forgotten to set its alarm clock this morning....
They were isolated on a deserted island. Does this kind of accident really happen? Luck has brought all these strangers together. Whether the purpose be beneficial, sinister, or existent at all is dependent on their immediate actions. Leaf thought not of his luggage just yet. Nor did he think of venturing into the jungle or setting up shelter or foraging for food. He simply basked in this pivotal moment of life.
Leaf smiled and his eyes sparkled. He felt so giddy and guilty for feeling giddy that he could no long restrain an involuntary laugh. "Ha! Hahahahaha." Leaf quickly composed himself and withdrew the slip of irrationality. He looked around earnestly to make sure nobody had seen.
First, I need to find out where my luggage is and how to get it. Next and meanwhile, I need to make friends and allies. Afterwards, exploration most likely. Then probably-
Leaf stopped his thought upon seeing a girl toward the treeline. I.... is that....? His eyes focused solely on the girl's blonde hair and petite figure. He briskly made his way toward her. She seemed to be waving at another female survivor. Leaf approached in a dazed shock, not so different from how he was a few moments previous, but now more intently thoughtful. He didn't care to notice if the girl regarded him as he approached.
Soon he made his way to arm's length distance from her. "Ingrid....?" he breathed, almost a shouted whisper. He came to her front and studied her face intensely before all the stressed wonder fell suddenly from his expression, leaving only a ghost of disbelief. "Oh." he said, with at least seven different emotions hinged onto it, "....sorry." He took a step back. "I thought.... you look like someone I knew." He says, more stoically default now and somehow cosmically conflicted. He took another step back warily, not quite embarassed, but also not quite defeated by the fickle power which happenstance held over his emotional pallet.

Ava had been concentrating on the other girl with her so much that she hadn’t noticed another person coming out of the forest until they spoke, his voice barley reaching her ears. She didn’t make out what he said at first. And she could only guess it was a name.
“Sorry?” she asked him, tilting her head to peer at him as he came closer.
"Oh....sorry. I thought.... you look like someone I knew."
She gave a small smile, looking at him as if she could place him. No thoughts rang into her head, nothing that put him into her memory.
“It’s quite alright,” Ava responded, she got this often. It was a common mistake, she was after all practically a bottle blond, though her hair was very natural, and too often another person would mistake her for another person that had a meaning to them. “Are you looking for someone?”
Only wishing to help him, not to pry, she smiled at him again. It would give her something to do, to help him. It killed her to not know where to start with the passengers. Already she had been pushed to the side by the people who viewed her as weak. She had always been pushed to the side as the bigger and stronger people moved things around.
