Lillian Rae Hayes is a lonely girl just trying to figure life out. She goes about her business basically trying to avoid other people. She is a determined little thing and once her mind is set on something it will get done one way or another. She's a little on the shy side, she likes others to make the first move so she doesn't have to. She is the type of person who prefers acquaintances rather than best friends just because she is afraid of being hurt. She acts like a slut but she's actually never had sex, she's done about anything else but. She loves to listen to other people talk but she hates to talk about herself.

Where would the world be without love? Lily has been doing just fine without it. She is afraid of serious relationships and afraid of the feelings that a man might pull out of her. She is a tease, flat out, but rarely does she follow through. She shows interest in guys but she's more of a tease and tends to push people away once they get close to her so she doesn't get hurt. The only way someone could meddle into her life is if they did it without her noticing right off. If they bonded over something they both enjoyed or if this man was extremely persistent.

Where there is love there is hatred. Lillian doesn't take well to certain types of people. These people consist of liars, jackass's, or anyone in general who gets a kick out of hurting someone else, physically or emotionally. She's hard to anger but once her fuse is lit your in her path of destruction.

Not love not hate, something in between. Lily has a ton of acquaintances and she likes it that way. She has a tendency of keeping people an arms length away, for the safety of her heart. As for best friends, they are hard for her to come by simply because of her fright of relationships of any kind. She loves having acquaintances, people she can talk to or do things with but not necessarily have a connection with. It's not impossible to make friends with her though.

So, I wrote on the chatbox that perhaps Lilly and Kat
could develop some sort of friendship? Perhaps not
straight away since Lilly is quite a closed person and
keeps people at an arm's length away. But perhaps
since they're all stuck on the island, Kat and her could
get closer? They both fear drowning, they both have
family issues (Kat's sister died several years ago and
it caused problems in the family since, and Lilly's sis
committed suicide -> so perhaps at one point they
can bond more through that? Though Kat did grieve
quite enough. But I'm thinking of having Kat hallucinate
seeing her sister on the island after running out of
medication for her schizophrenia) and then they both
don't quite know what to do with their future? What
do you think? Ideas, suggestions for plotage? :]

I love the concept of what you have cooked up. I too think that they have a lot of things that they could 'connect' over and what not. I think Lily would enjoy her company especially since they have a lot in common (although most of it is not good things xD)Lily loathes talking about herself and her family but I think if Kat started talking about it, Lily would slip and talk without even realizing. Lily is petrified of drowning but she loves to swim. She is like a fish in the water but she refuses to jump in water that is ridiculously over her head. I certainly think they could be friends =)

Richard & Lily

So, I think Richard will be that guy that tries to cheer
people up and make this horrible situation better by telling
jokes and stories and basically being entertaining. And seeing
Lily shut down on people will make him want to bug her in
particular. So he'd be constantly going up to her and trying
to get her to laugh or something. How would Lily respond to
that? Would she just be annoyed at him and want him to go
away, or would she eventually start to open up a bit more?
Not necessarily sharing family secrets, but just laughing and
joking too - which is what Richard basically wants. Any plotage
ideas?

Okay, Richard is certainly an interesting character, by far! Lily would appreciate his attempts to make her smile and to make her laugh and he'd probably succeed unless she was in like complete shut down/crisis. But if he started trying to pry into her life and wouldn't stop she'd probably hit him. Her sister died a little over a year ago so if he even suggest anything bad about her sister or even the type of person she was (drug addict, cutter) she wouldn't take it lightly. Actually it would probably lead to a breakdown. She's held strong so far dealing with her sisters death and she hasn't really grieved so I'm thinking a nice breakdown would be a good welcomer to the island. Lily would admire Richard and his relationship with his daughter because Lily has really never had that with her father, or mother, or anyone. So that would be Lily's take on things. What are you thinking for the two of them?

If Lily was to hit him, Richard would probably be
shocked and be all, "what was that for?" but
he'd probably still keep prying/trying to figure out why
she's so shut down. But he wouldn't say anything
bad about her sister though - maybe even the opposite,
he wouldn't of course applaud that her sister did drugs
and cut herself, but he would just say she had problems
and those weren't Lily's fault and she couldn't have done
anything - so if Lily was to breakdown, Richard would turn
into father-mode and try to bring her some peace and
comfort. And since Lily isn't that much older than his daughter
(16), it wouldn't be difficult for Richard then to get protective
over her too, especially if he knows later that she's quite broken.
But so yeah, I could see Richard acting that way toward Lily. :]

Lily wouldn't mind him being protective or fond of her. She would find it weird at first, just because she isn't used to it but she'd find comfort in it after a while. She would be reassured with the comfort from him, especially because of the whole stranded on an island thing. And if she hit him, she'd feel bad afterward but she's a bit sensetive to say the least.
