Hello, Richard Allan Beckett.
» Is there anything you would rather be called?
"Rick. Or Beckett. Actually. Beckett is better. Though the ladies can call me anything they want to. *wink*"
» Great, now that we've got that covered. How old are you?
"30"
"Dad!"
"Shush, daughter, shush!"
"In reality he's thirty-eight, don't hold it against him, he doesn't like feeling old."
"Hey! I'm not old? What are you saying?"
"Don't worry daddy, I still love you."
» I see, and you're in what member group?
"New survivors."
» You know, has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like...?
"Nathan Fillion? Yeah, how do you think I get all the ladies? They ask me if I'm Nathan Fillion and I neither confirm or deny it."
"DAD!"
"Coffee. I mean, how do you think I manage to get all the ladies coffee."
» Thanks! Slipped my mind. Now, do you know the super secret code word?
"Toothpaste. But don't forget flossing and regular dentist check ups are essential too. You don't get this dazzling smile just by brushing your teeth you know."

Let's talk about your personality.
» What are a few of your favorite things?
"Solving crimes are always quite the thrill. Well. Not real crimes. I like reading criminal novels and see how soon I can figure out who the murderer was. I'm getting quite good at it now! Other thing? Spending time with my daughter - we get along really great. I always make time for her and we arrange lightsaber death matches, lazertag in the house, paintballing... ohh it's just a lot of fun. I'm still amazed at the fact how mature and grown up she's become despite having me as her sole parent. I don't know whether to be proud or disappointed. Just kidding! Of course I'm proud of my daughter. The only thing I have to worry about with her is trying to get her to stay out late on a school night and break the rules a bit. But she doesn't seem to have that rebel side to her. Seriously, sometimes I wonder if she really is my kid. But then she has my intelligence and sense of logic and crime-solving abilities, so the doubts are immediately erased...
That doesn't answer the question was it?"
»That's interesting. Is there anything you absolutely dislike?
"Boyfriends. Anything that starts with 'boy' in fact. Anything that's boy-related should immediately leave if it's in a five-foot proximity of my daughter. Other things I dislike? People with no sense of humour or fun. I swear, people can be so boring sometimes. Once I got stuck on a 10 hour flight next to this guy - who on first glance seemed quite interesting, but then he turned out to just be the biggest bore you can imagine. I swear, that journey was a total hell. I'd take a second plane crash over another journey with a bore like that."
» Hm, what is your greatest fear?
"Losing my daughter, there's no questioning that. Did you know this was going to be our first major European trip together? I was going to take her all over the most famous European museums. We've been planning this trip for months. She's had the whole journey and destinations and everything mapped out in the first week of knowing. So, you see. I'd just be completely lost without her."
» Yeah, that is scary. Do you have any dreams for the future?
"I don't know. Most of my dreams have come true. The two things I want are my daughter staying my baby-girl forever and never leaving my side, and the other is finding a real woman to love. The first dream will most likely come true while there's probably no hope for the second."
» Wow, I hope you succeed. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
"Well, I'm Richard Beckett. I've been always quite fortunate with my life. At first I've worked in the film industry and wrote quite a few movie scripts that became successful. By the time I was nearing thirty I made more than enough money to support my family and my family's future family. So I gave up on the evil movie industry and bought a bar in New York. It's doing better than I thought it would, but at least now I have a lot more fun with it. In my spare time, other than playing lazertag with my daughter and going out on random dates, I attempt to write crime novels."

So far so good. Now for history.
» So tell me, where are you from? What did you think of it?
"Oh, I'm a New Yorker. Born and raised. Though I did travel a bit with my mother when I was younger. But then when I was older, around 9, I just had a nanny who stayed home with me while my mum flew back and forth between different cities of the US. But New York has always been my home and I don't imagine living anywhere else in the near future. Although I really do love visiting new cities and places."
» Do you have any other family? Parents? Siblings? Extended? What do you think about them?
"My mother was a quite known actress back in the 60s while I don't know who my father is -- not that it particularly bothers me. I have a daughter, - - - - - - - - Beckett, and she's 16 years old. Her mother was my first wife, Julianne Andrews, but she's never been much of a mother. She loves our daughter of course - she calls, visits and sends her gifts. I've no problems or conflicts with Julianne. We parted on good terms and when it came to our daughter, we never had to fight over custody either. Julianne wanted to pursue a career in acting, so she left the care of our daughter to me, and I promised that our daughter would always be able to see and visit Julianne (and vice versa) if they wanted it."
» What is your worst memory/memories?
"Well, it was probably sometime in primary school, when I started to realise and notice more the fact that I had no father in my life. All the kids in my grade had both a mother and a father and I remember it tearing me to pieces. I asked my mother about him, but she said she couldn't tell me who he was - that my father did not exist. At first I was crushed, but then I realised - I could imagine my father to be anyone I wanted to. So I remember I'd always tell the kids in my class that my father was a pilot and a doctor, and he was off working in a faraway land that had no medical care or system - and that he was saving lives. That story probably worked until middle school. Because that's when kids get evil, right?"
» What is your best memory/memories?
"My daughter's birth. My daughter's first walk. My daughter's first laughter. Her first uttering of "dadda". The first time she smiled, her first day of school and how she ran back to be to give me a sad hug. The first science fayre experiment we worked on together... any memories involving my daughter actually."
» Where are you now? What are you doing with your life?
"Well, as I said in previous parts, I dropped my past career to buy a bar, I'm working on some novels and I was going to take my daughter on a trip that will make her a lot more high on life than she already is."
