| [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] benjamin ayer jones | twenty-three | old survivor friends; if you're friends with ben, it's a new accomplishment. normally he doesn't make friends because of his self-centeredness. if you can get over the fact that if in a fight, he would probably leave you at your own will.... then he isn't a friend for you. try and change him, but time on the island changes it's inhibitors rather than the inhibitors changing it.
enemies; enemies are common with ben, then again... they say keep your enemies closer than friends. he's sly, and most of the times an asshole.. but if he needs to use you for his well being, he will. need food? you're bait.
lovers; ben loves one person and that's his step-brother but he wont tell you that. he wont even mention his brother but he'll avoid getting close to someone. he's homosexual but doesn't show that he is. it's gained him unwanted attention in the past and he doesn't need that now.

I have a feeling Claire and Ben would be friends if they met, seeing as how Claire is an outcast of the new survivors anyway. She hates normal people and having to do what she is told, but she works hard and doesn't sit there whining like other girls on the island. Or they could possibly start out with a misunderstanding and then grow to realize they wrong about each other and become friends after that...what do you think?

I like it, I think at first they could have a misunderstanding but as things start to become a train-wreck I'm sure he'd help her first. He doesn't like many girls, but as long as she isn't like the others on the island I'm sure a friendship could bloom. He'd probably try and bring her into the old survivor crowd.

I think they could be an odd sort of friends. Selena doesn't really whine or whatever on the island and mostly just makes sure her daughter is okay, fed and well before herself. She's one of the most relaxed on the island. Since he's an old survivor I think they wouldn't know each other for a while. They could meet in a weird way like, he could have not eaten recently and Selena sees him from far away and brings him some food and walks away. She could do that for several days and one day he either says something to her or vice versa and they become somewhat friends?

@ Claire; sounds good to me (: He'll be rather awkward at first due to not being around anyone. He's kept himself away from the old survivors after... a few incidents.
@ Selena; That sounds great actually, she could probably see Claire and him interacting or something around that sort. He wouldn't approach her and would probably look a little wild. He would have a weird friendship, but being on the island has brought out a little crazy side in him. So he'll be a tad bipolar.

maybe after a few weeks of her giving him stuff and walking away they silently look out for each other with out saying anything? They could first interact by some guy being a dick to Selena and Selena just going over to Ben to get away from the guy?

@ Selena; That works, she could have some issue with the guy, but Ben would most likely spot her daughter first. He likes kids, but mainly because he's dealt with a younger sibling and younger cousins. So he'd probably stick up for Selena to protect her daughter. It could also be a chance for other people to realize that they aren't the only ones on the island.
